I was wondering what you would choose a madley upped ion or a stock nerve

Nerve ftw. That ion will shoot just as nice as the nerve but it doesnt have a good feedneck or ASA and it needs a better reg and bolt. If you added a reg, bolt ASA and feedneck I would probably say go for the ion based on the condition of it.

I'd go with the nerve as it has more room for improvement where the ion is almost maxd out, both guns maxd out the nerve would take the ion.

the nerve is the obvious option. its gone down in price but still has good resale, has tons of upgrades (few are really necessary at all). the ion, although probably a pretty good marker in the condition you spoke of, can sell for maybe max $300 on pbnation after you've put about $250 of work into it.
