ok... well as you can all see, i am a newb. i have gone paintballing ONCE with a rented gun. i think it was a spyder. can anyone recommend a p-ball gun to me? i used to airsoft, but i think p-balling seems more fun. my price range is anywhere from $100-$300... im hoping i can get a decent gun for that much money. i have NO IDEA how to upgrade a paintball gun either. what parts should i upgrade to make it shoot harder? what are the FPS limits in most fields? thanks for bearing with me. im just excited to finally have enough money for a paintball gun. thanks.

Big difference between paintball and airsoft, all guns shoot the same fps ( unless its like a 20 dollar gun) where in airsoft higher end guns, shoot higher fps...fields are usually between 230-300 I have never played 300 but I've played 280, I think you should get either a spyder imagine+ Viewloader Revolution hopper+ 14-20oz c02 tank, plus you will NEED a mask, I suggest getting a flex 7... If you can afford it you may want either a Ion ( currently $199) but you will want/need a faster hopper ( Egg 2, Halo B, Reloader B, or Vlocity etc ) and a airtank, you can get any airtank size and if you want steel or carbon fibre is all depending on how much you want to pay

thank you for the advice. so im guessing all the upgrades in paintball are not FPS related. thats good, because thats what i didnt really like about airsoft. everyone thought you were a better player just because your gun shot harder... which isnt true. btw, are there upgrades to make your gun shoot farther?

you'll prolly want a kit and for a baller on a budget i'd say the empire kit. make sure you match threads. the big thing about kits is that paint to barrel match is crucial in accuracy. not all paintballs are the same caliber. they're different by thousands of an inch but when a ball is big enough to get stuck in your barrel or small enough to fall through your barrel, you're not going to be very accurate
