I think the imagine is good but i think tippmans r better for woodsball. You can probably find a few good deals on ebay for around that price.I plan to get an imagine soon so i will make sure to tell u how it is.

it really depends, the imagine i think is a great starter gun, because its a decent gun for a low end marker, and its great for the two main worlds of paintballing at the starting level. and yes the 98 custom is a great marker for woodsball, but its not for speedball, while the imagine is.

well cause i been reading some of the posts by other ppl, and some say that the tippman 98 sux, and others rave about how good it is, it is confusing me. I have about $200 to spend, and my friends have been telling me to get a gun, i want something to kill them! im pretty sure we play woodsball if the name is the meaning.

alot of ppl have been telling me the Spyder E99 is the best in my range. I only have 200$, and if i HAVE to buy a new barrel then prolly only 170$. Most guns barrels suck when u buy them. is the E99 good? does it have upgrades? and is it worth upgrading?

yea it is pretty much, i suggest the 98 custom, you should be able to get it cheap, at about 120. and then spend the other 80 on the other paintball necessities.

lol. ur changing guns all the time. for woodsball. yes i would get the 98 custom over the e99, just because of the type of paintballing you would be doing. overall, i think the e99 is a better gun. basically its preference.

what exactly is woodsball, is it like the name suggests? And what is speedball? How is one gun better in one than the other?

woodsball- basically paintballing in the woods. there are some fields, where there are forts. more for sneaking and tactical paintballing

speedball- is paintballing, but its elimination, and its quick, 5 minutes tops a game. its about 5 on 5, there are bunkers. but the field is small compared to other game types.

um...for starters, the imagine, is electric, this allows for faster firing, and it then makes it easier to keep pressuring the other player, and getting him out. the 98 custom however, if upgraded right, is more for distance and sniping(accuracy).

Go with the 98' for sure. If you wanna kill your friends then put a Response Trigger on it... But for now, I think that's your best option.(If you are strictly a woodsballer?)

no. dont get a tippman because tippmans suck mad balls. get the spyder imagine starter pack. everything you need to get into the game. might not come with a mask though.

tippmans are not good guns. they are terrible on air, long and heavy, very very very slow, heavy trigger no matter what u do to it, tons of kick, horribly unaccurate. why would u ever get one of these awful shit guns?
